Camp Hawthorns

Through The Hawthorn School’s outstanding facilities and extensive woodlands and grounds we offer Camp Hawthorns, operating from 8am to 5pm each day of the school holidays. Catering for children aged 3 to 13 we offer a wide variety of camps and courses, from our Holiday Playdays for pre-school aged children to our specialist Art Courses and Dance Workshops for older children. Multi-Activity Days are always thoroughly enjoyed. All children from the local community are welcomed and childcare vouchers are accepted.

Camp Hawthorns will be running in the Summer from the 15th July to the 4th September 2024

Dear Customer, Unfortunately our pool is undergoing maintenance for an unexpected issue with the boiler. We hope to have the swimming pool back up and running by Monday 29th July. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

MULTI-ACTIVITY DAY CAMP

For children in Reception to year 8, operating from 8am to 5pm each day of the school holidays

Each day is packed full of a huge variety of exciting activities varying from sports, outdoor exploration, arts & crafts to team games and challenges. Whilst no two days are ever the same, with our woodlands, grounds and the on-site swimming pool, we always make sure we fit in some Woodland Games and a Fun Swim. We work with the aim ‘fun for all’, encouraging children to make new friends and try new activities. Our activity timetable is designed to give every child the opportunity to develop cognitively, physically, socially and artistically.

Are you looking for a holiday camp for your three or four year old?

Holiday Playdays will combine exceptional care with a whole host of fun, interactive activities, encouraging children to explore and learn through play in a safe and happy environment. Based in our Pre-school Ark Nursery, Holiday Playdays will make use of spaces and resources specifically designed for three and four year olds. Children will spend at least part of each day outside, in the beautiful Ark Secret Garden, on a nature trail, exploring our Woodland Classroom or playing games on our MUGA.

Let by our Early Years Teachers, we’ve got some brilliant plans in place to keep your little ones busy and having fun in the holidays.

ART COURSE

For Year 3 – Year 8 children, operating from 9am to 4pm

Our Art Department has a strong reputation for excellence and our pupils consistently win scholarships to a wide range of senior schools. Our Head of Art will be running an Art Course focusing in on the three mediums of ceramics, printing and painting. In a relaxed and fun atmosphere children will be challenged to develop their artistic skills, observe and record, interpret their own ideas and use their imagination.
