Camp Hawthorns

Through The Hawthorn School’s outstanding facilities and extensive woodlands and grounds we offer Camp Hawthorns, operating from 8am to 5pm each day of the school holidays. Catering for children from Reception through to Year 8.  We offer a wide variety of camps and courses, from our Holiday Playdays for pre-school aged children to our specialist Art Courses and Dance Workshops for older children. Multi-Activity Days are always thoroughly enjoyed. All children from the local community are welcomed and childcare vouchers are accepted.

MULTI-ACTIVITY DAY CAMP

For children in Reception to year 8, operating from 8am to 5pm each day of the school holidays 

Each day is packed full of a huge variety of exciting activities varying from sports, outdoor exploration, arts & crafts to team games and challenges. Whilst no two days are ever the same, with our woodlands, grounds and the on-site swimming pool, we always make sure we fit in some Woodland Games and a Fun Swim. We work with the aim ‘fun for all’, encouraging children to make new friends and try new activities. Our activity timetable is designed to give every child the opportunity to develop cognitively, physically, socially and artistically.

ART COURSE

For Year 3 – Year 8 children, operating from 9am to 4pm

Please note: Art Club is open exclusively to children currently in Years 3 to 8.

WOODLAND BUSHCRAFT CAMP

For Year 3 – Year 8 children, operating from 9am to 4pm

Rewind and unplug! Children go back to nature at Camp Hawthorns Woodland Bushcraft Camp. Your young adventurers will have a go at everything from fire lighting, campfire cookery, wilderness skills and camp crafts to team building and problem-solving challenges with buckets of fun and woodland games thrown in for good measure.

Tennis Camp

TENNIS CAMP Back at Easter 

 run by the Hawthorns Head Tennis Coach.

For all children currently in School Years 3 to 8. From 9am-4pm early drop off and late collection available from 8am-5pm

For children who wish to have fun and help develop the following.
• Movement & Agility Work
• Technique
• Singles and Doubles Play
• Team Games
